- COM based gateway requires you to install a DLL provided by the Payment Gateway Provider on your web hosting server. Many web hosting companies do not allow such DLL installs on their servers and this is the reason for this method to be impossible to implement. Yet, we can implement it on our server during the development phase, but we are not possibly to bear the responsibility for this solution further operability.
These gateways also require that you have your own SSL certificate.
- Form based gateway does not require any extra software to be installed on your web hosting server. Some, but not all, require that you have your own SSL certificate. This can be bought by the customer themselves, or we can assist them to buy the one, yet, they will still have to pay for the SSL.
These are the most common types of gateways.
- XML transport gateway eliminates the need for you to do your own programming. We do provide this interface. XML transport gateways are similar to COM based gateways but they do not require a DLL install. They use a facility already installed on most Windows OSs. They normally require that you have your own SSL certificate.
