Digital transformation is a major industry trend

Over the last few years, we have seen a more dramatic change in the sector, partially caused by Covid, but also by the desire of the businesses to again reduce their overheads and make themselves leaner. These two factors have resulted in more companies adopting the Digital Transformation approach. It allows companies to arrive at a technology strategy by considering three key principles:

  • What is the strategic business goal that best supports their enterprises’ objectives?
  • How do they expect technology to support this business goal in terms of purpose, function, security, and risk requirements?
  • What will their operational and workforce impacts be for those business and technical or security decisions?

Outsourcing, in turn, provides a means for businesses to overhaul their model in part or completely to transform how they work and to be more efficient.

Cost saving is not the only reason to outsource software development

While for most businesses, the bottom line and reducing costs are key reasons to adopt the outsourcing model, there are other ways outsourcing can add value for clients.

Outsourcing companies have very skilled talent that is available for use by clients. The clients are using that proven experience to get the anticipated results, which would have taken them a lot longer to achieve if they had done it on their own. This helps companies beat their competitors to market.

Automation is another key element that may cause companies to consider outsourcing their development needs. That way, processes are no longer prone to human error and take less time.

Trust is a vital component of a successful collaboration

Trust is something that is earned hard and lost easily. This is why it is important to work with clients on relationship management as it is on the technical scope of work that needs to be done.

In addition to account managers, who communicate with the client on a regular basis, we also have delivery managers who work with them from day one as well. This person maintains a good relationship both with the clients and the teams to ensure that any potential issues that might arise are timely staved off.

Our recruiting staff are very good at what they do and are supported by our technical experts through the hiring process. We use a series of pre-screening scenarios as well as quick tests to find the best people.

During the first pre-screening interview, we try to understand the potential working conditions, the candidate’s soft skills, and language proficiency. For the main technical interview, we give an online test task to understand how the candidate thinks in real time using a code interview tool.

Employees need to feel supported and valued to be happy

As we all know, in our industry the company relies on its employees, so being there to support them and keep them happy while working for the company is extremely important. It is often said that it is easier to sell to existing clients than it is to find new ones. However, it is also true for employees: it is better to retain great people than try and find people to replace them.

Our HR team regularly communicates with all our employees to check that they have what they need to do their jobs both from a technical and personal perspective. In addition to our HR teams, we have mentors and resource managers who can provide all the required support to the employees.

All of our employees also have a Performance Development Plan where we help employees to resolve not only professional challenges — their personal ones are taken into account as well. This can include fitness opportunities, personal time allocation, support for hobbies, and more. All of this is to ensure that they are maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
