The first trip to Ukraine: QArea is visited by the president of Talent Controlby QArea Team on March 2, 2007
The president of Talent Control, Brian Verdugo recently visited the Ukrainian offices of QArea. Talent Control, a strategic partner of QArea, is an international IT consulting company offering outsourcing software development and testing services of top quality worldwide. Headquartered in the USA, the company also has regional representatives in Ukraine, Western and Eastern Europe.
Since February 11 till 15 Brian had a business trip and visited Ukraine for the first time. Kharkov, the main software development centre of the country, where QArea headquarters is based, became his travel destination. The main reason of the trip was business but even during such short time of being in Ukraine, Brian also managed to enjoy the non-business part and see some well-known sights of out city.
First of all Brian met the team that have been working over his project here. They presented current results of their progress and Brian seemed to be completely satisfied with what he saw. Besides, he had a number of productive business meetings with Max Garkavtsev, QArea Founder and Mobile Monday Ukraine Organizer.
The non-business time was organized no less successfully. Brian was really impressed by the size of the Liberty Square, which is the largest square in Europe and the second largest in the world after Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The beautiful Kharkov Opera House and Shevchenko Park with the best in Ukraine monument to Taras Shevchenko, the greatest Ukrainian poet, also captured his attention. A funny thing to mention is that Brian was really surprised to know that there are circuses and a number of Chinese and Japanese restaurants in Ukraine.
Besides, Brian confirmed the common opinion that Ukrainian women are really beautiful! (And no wonder because this is regularly being proved by other foreign guests who quite often visit Ukrainian QArea offices!)
Cold weather during the period of Brian’s stay in Kharkov caught him unawares but it was well compensated by the warm visit he received here. Surrounded by constant attention from the QArea team, he had a lot of fun here, remained pleased with his first visit to Ukraine and went back to the USA full of positive impressions and favorable emotions.
